Theatre in the Park – Summer 2021

We are delighted to be able to bring you five outdoor theatre productions this summer. This year the shows include a frenetic version of Macbeth, a sumptuous production of Gilbert & Sullivan, a swashbuckling version of The Scarlet Pimpernel, Boxtree are returning with their unique take on Alice in Wonderland, and The Three Inch Fools are performing Robin Hood.

Advance booking for all shows below.

We will be strictly adhering to government guidelines regarding covid-security that are applicable at the time.

Sorry, you’ve missed the amazing Handlebards with Macbeth in June and Illyria with Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore in July.

Sunday 8th August: The Scarlet Pimpernel, Quill and Inkling

Aa cast of three from Quill and Inkling with a not very serious take on the famous story of a bold mysterious Englishman sneaking out French aristocrats from France during the revolution. French agent Chauvelin asks his old friend, Marguerite, to help him discover the Pimpernel’s identity, but it all gets very serious when her husband, Sir Percy Blakeney, well known idiot, gets involved.

Sunday 22nd August: Alice in Wonderland, Boxtree

Follow Boxtree Productions down the rabbit hole into a strange world of caterpillars, cards and tea parties.  Join Alice as she tries to navigate this curious world of curiouser creatures but don’t lose your head!   We promise you a wonderful experience of original toe-tapping songs, colourful characters, costumes and hilarious comedy.

Sunday 5 September: Robin Hood, The Three Inch Fools

This summer, a hapless troupe of actors hit the road with a calamitous new production of Robin Hood. Prepare for a riotous summer adventure fit for all the family as The Fools battle to tell their own version of the
legendary tale at some of the most beautiful and historic landmarks in the UK. Expect the full Three Inch Fools treatment – an afternoon packed with wildly-inventive story-telling, fast-paced drama, a host of musical instruments and many a quick costume change along the way!
