The Friends of North Lodge Park were recently presented with a donation of £300.00 to buy new gardening tools and equipment as well plants for the coming season. The donation was received from the Co-Op store in High Street Cromer and raised by the sale of pre-read books in the store. Stuart Vail the manager presented the tools.
Former employee at the store Heather Cox set up the pre-read bookstall in the store when it was Budgens to raise money for local charities and is still going strong today with thousands of pounds been donated to local charities and communities over the years. The Friends of North Lodge Park are the latest charity to benefit.
Jim Bond the Chairperson of the Friends of North Lodge Park said “We are so grateful for the generous donation raised by Co-Op customers. As a small charity we rely on local support such as this to provide funds for tools, equipment and plants used by our wonderful hard working volunteer gardeners to maintain this lovely community park
