North Lodge Park Tea Rooms: Crepes and Cakes
At the Cromer end of the Park, next to the boating lake, is one of Cromer’s most exciting ventures: your community cafe. Our licence to run the cafe has been extended to the end of October 2019.
In superb surroundings, decorated, equipped and run by the community, your cafe is serving Crepes and Cakes (there’s a clue in the name) as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold drinks and ice creams.
The coffee machine, with our on-demand grinder ensuring freshly ground beans for every cup, shines in the kitchen, the windows shine in the sun, and the boating lake shines just outside the front door. There are tables inside, outside and with the benches around the park, including the rose garden, you will find the place to relax.
The venture is run by the community – if you have ideas for the cafe, want to use the space to meet with friends, or just want to help – get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org or just pop into the cafe. Open from 10am daily (closed Mondays).
We regularly get 5 star reviews on trip adviser for the quality of service, coffee and cakes.
This is a great little place to get a good cup of tea and then relax and watch the world go by. If you have a model boat then all the better but just as good to watch others. Not a lot of tables inside...More
Have coffee or even treat yourself to a piece of very nice cake and enjoy the surroundings both inside and outside and watch the children enjoying the boating pond. You will be assured of a welcome. All staffed by volunteers. Excellent
Came across this place quite by chance on a day-trip. A beautiful little cafe, run by volunteers as a not-for-profit enterprise to support the maintenance and development of the park. Pretty interior and tables outside too. Lovely and enthusiastic staff. Home-made sausage rolls (yum) and...More
Tea for two in the sun. We sat outside on a Sunday afternoon - a bit breezy but warmed up by hot tea! Good service and sensible prices.
This is such a fabulous little cafe offering a fabulous array of home made cakes and savouries. Lovely teas in vintage China cups and saucers. We called here on s miserable wet day and the welcome of mainly the staff and the other customers was...More
We visit when we go to Comer as this is run entirely by volunteers in a minute space so they do very well to cope with the trade. The homemade tea cakes are cinnamon flavoured & all cakes are tasty & moist. So treat yourself...More
We visited this lovely tearoom after a cliff top walk. Lovely choice of cakes, and delicious sweet and savoury crepes. Good prices too.
Cromer is home to some very particular cafes (I have reviewed the North Sea Cafe before - it is excellent) and the North Lodge is special in many ways. It is bit of a throwback to earlier days, with china teapots and delicate crockery. Everything,...More
We always thoroughly enjoy our visits to the 'Tearooms'. It is a unique venue - not only because the tearoom is run on a voluntary basis but the delicious cakes are made by volunteers too. It is always difficult to choose from the nicely presented...More
Cutting through the park we stumbled across this place, what a lovely little place, fine selection of cakes and my sausage roll was superb! Only grumble would be very limited seating and locals weren’t particularly keen to move up!!!!! Staff very friendly though.
A great selection of cakes for an afternoon tea ... Set in a park , very friendly and good service .. Worth a try when in cromer
This is such a lovely cafe. We had tea and cake for two. The tea comes in lovely tea pot with china cups. The cakes were amazing. One was coffee and chocolate and the other was white chocolate. Both went down a treat. Highly recommend...More
