These swings supplement the play equipment that was installed by FoNLP in 2020 and ensure that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

New Play Equipment for the Park!

Work has started on site to install two new sets of swings in the children’s play-area in North Lodge Park. The swings will include an accessible swing and a face-to-face swing for younger children to enjoy.

The equipment has been purchased with funds raised by FoNLP over the past few years and a private donation.

It is hoped that the swings will be finished for the pumpkin carving activity in the Park on Wednesday 30th October.

Please look out for more updates! Now some photos of the swings there is still work to do so not ready yet but we are very excitied

This year’s annual Sunflower Growing Competition was won by Lenny Broughton with his multi-headed winner, which measured 2.4m (8ft).

William and Thomas Chenery won the prize for the smallest sunflower, which measured a petite 46cm (18”).

The certificates and prizes were presented by Andy Walker of the Walker Brothers at the free music event hosted by the Friends of North Lodge Park on Saturday 31st August.

The Friends of North Lodge Park use the money they raise through events in the Park to enhance the gardens and children’s play facilities.
